The Human Compass: Controlling your own biology.

‘The definition of insanity, is to keep doing the same thing, and to expect a different outcome’- Albert Einstein

Ever since I can remember, I have always loved being of assistance to others. Sharing whatever I had at the time, to bring an element of happiness to other people’s lives. As a child, it began as a talent for art and I could look at something and see its beauty even in the depths of despair, and create something to give to someone that would bring them happiness. Seeing that it gave them an element of elation was always worth the time that I would put into what I was doing.

As I grew up, this desire to assist others deepened when facing difficult relationships with others in my own life, primarily flagged in romantic relationships; as I couldn’t physically understand why they became so destructive and as a result, effectively broke down when I gave everything of myself, to the point of despair, and the other person still was not happy.

This desire to understand others led me on a self directed journey to understand the human being at the deepest level. It initially directed me inwards, as in order to understand others, I had to develop a deep and meaningful understanding of my own psyche and biology and how it was all connected. I liked to understand how things work on a scientific level as conclusive practice was how my brain accepted and absorbed information so that it no longer existed in a state of cognitive dissonance around theoretical subject areas. As interested and open minded to the ‘spiritual’ concepts part of this journey took me on, which was how a lot of the information was and continues to be initially presented to me as an intuitive; it was always the physical research, practice and development that allowed my mind to accept the creation of a new practice.  Psychology had always been a deep interest of mine, but as with any new theory that is born, it brings with it a platform of research, testing and experience in order to turn that theory into practice. Of which, I have vigilantly spent the last 4 years developing and bringing to fruition and am now confident and knowledgeable enough to offer services as a practitioner of my own business.

There was always an element of the mental health field that I found was missing. Having personally experienced periods that would, by the mental health profession be labelled as depression and a borderline personality disorder; after recognising these traits within myself, I subsequently choose not to follow the domestic anti-depressant and counselling route, as there was something missing for me within that formal route. It seemed incredibly inconsistent, some people gaining the ability to move on with their lives, others not moving anywhere at all, some even spiralling further. It was knowledge that I wanted to discover for myself without the dictation of others by following the standard formal educational route that was teaching these practices that to me held a huge gaping hole. So, instead, as a prime candidate, I became my own guinea pig.

I started by taking up meditation. Meditation teaches you how to become an observer of your own mind so that once you have practised it enough, you can completely detach and observe even from your most deeply ingrained and programmed responses enough to decide to change them. This is the most beneficial factor to meditation, and like any muscle, you have to work the brain it in order for it to work efficiently. Teaching your brain to become an observer to itself is a skill of mastery and takes some training. In the early days, I would meditate for up to 4 hours a day. Now, that does not for a minute mean that is what I would advise this to anyone, but as I was the guinea pig in this great exploration and experiment, every part of my being was committed to this journey and I did what was necessary to get to the bottom of my findings to create something workable.

The human was in fact created as a responsive system, its chosen actions are dependent on its emotional responses to situations. We have the ability to feel pain, physically and emotionally. During those times where pain is the overwhelming sensation, in whatever form it has manifested, we do not have the capacity to see outside of the barrier of pain, our entire focus is directed to the pain point and our ability to see ourselves from a perspective that is not directed by our survival mechanisms is completely shut down. This then leads to a decision making process that seeks to alleviate the pain, hence why, to the uneducated mind, people seek drugs, medication and a need to control outside circumstances to take the pain away. Seeking a solution in this way effectively numbs the pain momentarily, but does not address the underlying reasoning for the pain surfacing in the first place.

The field of psychology addresses this notion, it seeks answers held in the psyche to when physical manifestation of pain presents itself. In those cases however, where digging around and releasing held memories and imprinted traumas from the psyche through the use of psychodynamic therapy does not work and the person continues to experience painful situations, there is currently a prescriptive process whereby the therapist will prescribe a chemical solution through the use of prescriptive drugs.

What I have discovered is that this problem solving process actually causes an unconscious dissonance.

This is why.

The body is a RESPONSIVE system. When it is in pain, whether it is triggered mentally or physically, the mind responds to the feeling of pain, it does not seek to figure out how the pain is being generated on a molecular level. Say for example, the person was experiencing emotionally related pain causing depression, the person experiencing those feelings, if placed under tests, would show that their body was producing a lower amount of serotonin in the body then what was needed to function in a balanced emotional way. The person is not able to emotionally connect to the substance ‘serotonin’ it can only connect to the emotional pain causing the low feelings. The human response system cannot separate itself and emotionally relate to its chemical makeup, because it doesn’t need to. It was created to engineer itself to continually seek to move itself back into a state of homeostasis. In other words, it has the ability to heal itself from anything and regain balance so that it is operating to its optimum functionality.

When you introduce a chemical solution to a responsive system issue, although the conscious mind expects the chemical solution to take the pain away, by what is commonly known as the placebo effect, the unconscious mind does not believe that this problem solving method will heal the issue because it cannot ‘feel’ into itself as fractal chemical parts so disregards this as a method. The body of translation is not effective so the unconscious mind disregards it, in the same way, when new information is given to someone that is heavily under the influence of alcohol, although the conscious mind responds in agreement or disagreement, the unconscious mind will, through its own protective mechanisms, disregard the information as it was received when the physical mind was not in a state of balanced conscious control. It sees the information as dispensable.

Its no secret anymore that the entire healthcare system is run by huge pharmaceutical firms that seek to keep individuals in a state of unbalanced health because it’s a big money game. By teaching someone that they are not in control of their own biology, when the person enters into a state of fear isolation associated with health, their natural response will be to seek medical advice from the currently operating healthcare system. When the healthcare systems prime concern operates on the basis of money making, even though there are caring and devoted individuals working within that system with a genuine desire to help others, if the information and prescriptions they give you are dictated from a script that has been created to mislead people into thinking that they have no control over their own health, and need to depend on someone with a doctorate to tell them what is wrong with them, then it is the system and what is being educated that needs to change.

The truth is, the the difference between a person that heals themselves and a person that doesn’t, is the underlying intention. You have, and always will have 2 choices. Do I see myself as the victim in this situation, or do I see myself as an equally responsible part? The ability to take responsibility for your part in every situation that you entangle yourself in, even if the other parties intention is to hurt and maim, shows acceptance and love of everything that you are and an opportunity to look at a deeper truth for what is going on. You then have a choice whether or not to continue to engage in those situations further or to walk away.

The other party can only behave that way towards you, if you show up to give them power. If you believe that the healthcare system is the only body responsible for correcting your health, then you are handing over your biological control.

Always ask for help and assistance from people that believe in you and your abilities to be more than you previously believed you could be. We all need others to mirror back to us our own worth at times, especially in those moments when you can’t see the wood for the trees. Don’t let anyone ever tell you, that you don’t have the ability to be completely in control of your own biology because it’s a lie. Your body already knows it and is already programmed to respond, it’s just your mind that needs to be reminded.

I believe and know that we have this ability so strongly that I have now expanded my biological control and understanding of my own body to now completely eliminate the need for outside birth control and have been practising this (so to speak!) for the past 6 months with no time constraints normally considered around fertility. I get to decide, without the reliance on anyone or anything else when I want to procreate. My partner and I already know that we want kids…just not yet.

Removing the fear completely around the act of sex, opens things up to a whole new level. It’s amazing how the subtle nuances of fear, the things that you would not usually consider, or would even cross your mind that are creating some form of limitation, make such a huge difference, but it’s the subtle nuances that are the most effective ways that people are held under some form of mind control because it creates the illusion of freedom.

You are a walking miracle and you always have a choice.

Stef
